About the Role
Law clerks and judicial attorneys review and analyze arguments presented in motions, memoranda, and briefs involving all areas of the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction under Article IV, Section 2(B) of the Ohio Constitution. They also research and prepare initial drafts of merit opinions at the direction of the Chief Justice.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze legal arguments in motions, memoranda, and briefs.
- Research and draft initial versions of merit opinions as directed by the Chief Justice.
- Perform duties on-site at the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center in Columbus.
Requirements
- Recent graduate from law school or a licensed attorney.
- Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Elite performance in law school, participation on a law review or moot court board, or publication of a noteworthy article is preferred.
- Prior clerkship experience will be considered positively.

Schedule
Full-time position commencing on September 8, 2026, and running through November 30, 2027.
