Law Clerk - Full or Part Time

Qualifications and Skills

• Current law school student (2nd or 3rd year preferred) or graduate
• Classes taken in civil procedure, business corporate law, contracts and corporate law preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in legal studies, especially civil litigation, contracts and writing courses
• Westlaw and/or Lexis experience preferred
• Background in collection law is helpful
• Basic knowledge of the civil legal process
• Verbal and written communication skills a must
• Must be a quick learner with good problem-solving skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Able to juggle multiple projects at once, ability to prioritize deadlines and commitments
• Strong customer service skills
• Self-starter and motivated
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly with Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work with others in other office locations and jurisdictions
• Able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to bend, lift, or carry up to 20 pounds
• A dependable work ethic and commitment to providing quality service is a must
• Typing and keyboarding experience with 50+ WPM required
• Collection Law knowledge is helpful
