About the role

You will maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishware, glassware, food-processing machines, and related equipment. It is essential to keep the dish-washing station spotless and safe. The ideal candidate values punctuality, supports other kitchen staff as needed, and strictly follows all health and sanitation protocols, in line with TC Restaurant Group (TCRG) policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load all dirty dishes, glassware, and kitchen utensils into the dishwasher.
• Change the dishwasher water every hour.
• Roll and unroll mats to clean the floor.
• Operate the industrial dishwasher.
• Hand-wash glassware and other utensils when necessary.
• Empty and clean all trash containers.
• Clean ice-tea machines, coffee machines, and other specified equipment daily.
• Rotate dishes to minimize wear on resources.
• Clean the dish storage area.
• Follow sanitation policies at all times.
• Assist the chef’s assistant and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak hours.
• Perform opening, closing, and other assigned duties.
• Clean spills immediately and safely dispose of broken glass.
• Report any sanitation or maintenance issues to the appropriate party.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy objects.
• Strong critical thinking and time-management skills.
• Experience operating industrial machinery and carrying loads up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to work in a hot, humid environment for 8-hour shifts while standing.
• Ability to sit, climb, bend, and kneel as required by the role.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
• Able to multitask in a high-volume restaurant setting.
