Laundry Room Supervisor

The Laundry Room Supervisor oversees daily laundry operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality processing of linens, uniforms, and other items. They supervise laundry staff, assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training on procedures, safety standards, and equipment use. The role involves maintaining inventory levels, conducting inspections for cleanliness and organization, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Responsibilities include troubleshooting operational issues, coordinating maintenance, maintaining records on production and inventory, and addressing employee concerns. The supervisor supports departmental goals by identifying productivity improvements and cost reductions, and participates in hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of operational experience in laundry or related fields, and a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role. Skills required are strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities, knowledge of inventory control and quality assurance, and safe operation of commercial laundry equipment. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, is also essential.
