Responsibilities
- Direct the commissary, laundry, and barber/beauty operations within a correctional environment under the direction of the commissary manager
- Supervise laundry operations
- Train and oversee all inmate workers
- Ensure proper procedures are utilized
- Maintain equipment
- Assist the commissary manager with supply distribution
- Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of barber equipment
- Order and stock necessary equipment and supplies
- Develop and implement a system to reduce and/or eliminate theft of laundry items
- Assist in accountability of records inventories, weekly recaps, postings, and SCEIS entries
- Respond to requests from staff
- Perform duties of manager in their absence

Requirements
- State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment
- SCDC Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment
- Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire
