Facilities Worker II - 250 Day

About the role

This position is skilled journey-level work in the construction or maintenance and repair of all facilities, grounds and equipment throughout the Prince William County School System. This position is performed under the general supervision of the shop foreman.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair school buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
• Assist in the planning and execution of facility improvement projects.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license.
• Experience in construction, maintenance, or related field.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in construction or maintenance.
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Proficiency in computer software relevant to the job.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
