LAUNDRY CHIEF MECHANIC - CB & VR - VARIED SHIFT

Job Summary

Maintain, repair, and supervise all laundry equipment at Mesquite Gaming properties to meet production requirements. Implement a preventative maintenance plan to minimize equipment downtime.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance Laundry Engineering or Engineering experience required, preferably in the Laundry field.
• Must be capable of reading electrical schematics, mechanical and plumbing blueprints.
• Advanced knowledge in plant maintenance, including electrical, boilers, hydraulics, air compressors, and mechanical equipment.
• Extensive experience in repairing and maintaining laundry equipment, boilers, and compressors.
• Knowledgeable in hazardous material storage and disposal.
• Ability to assure adequate availability of replacement parts for laundry equipment.
• Comprehensive understanding of safety rules and regulations, including lockout/tag-out procedures, fire safety, and confined space entry.
• Ability to operate various tools and equipment necessary for maintaining laundry equipment.
• Basic computer skills.

Essential Job Functions

• Repair and maintain proper operation of laundry equipment, including boilers and compressors.
• Operate all tools and equipment necessary for maintaining laundry equipment within the facility.
• Ensure replacement parts are available to maintain equipment operation.
• Follow safety rules and regulations, including lockout/tag-out procedures, fire safety, and confined space entry.
• Hire, lead, train, motivate, schedule, evaluate, coach, and discipline Laundry department maintenance staff members.

Customer Service Expectations

• Think and demonstrate quality daily.
• Be courteous and respectful, assisting others when necessary.
• Provide anticipatory service to guests and internal customers.

Physical Demands

• Considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as twisting, standing, bending, kneeling, frequent walking on concrete surfaces, lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
• Must possess the ability to push and maneuver a loaded laundry hamper weighing more than three hundred (300) pounds at a time.
• Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to Company appearance standards.
• Work in a fast-paced, busy, and occasionally noisy environment with frequent dirt, dust, and fumes.
• The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated but temperatures can be extreme during summer months.
