About the role

The Laundry Attendant/Dual Rate Housekeeping Supervisor supports the Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor in managing the day-to-day operations of housekeeping and laundry services at the Oxford Casino Hotel & Sportsbook. This position oversees the cleaning and inspection of hotel rooms and public areas, coordinates staff schedules, and ensures adherence to standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure all rooms are cleaned and inspected before guest check-in.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and other departments regarding room boards and activities.
  • Plan and assign room boards and activities for room attendants based on business volume and workload.
  • Coordinate daily staffing needs for housekeeping and laundry teams.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings and manage lost-and-found items, inquiries, returns, and shipping/billing processes.
  • Maintain inventories of amenities, cleaning supplies, and linen stock to ensure adequate quantities and reorder items as needed.
  • Motivate the housekeeping and laundry team to maintain high levels of productivity and ensure compliance with departmental procedures.
  • Recruit, hire, and train qualified housekeeping team members, and recommend counseling and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Clean and replenish hotel rooms and bathrooms according to department procedures, sort, launder, fold, and deliver linens, and stock housekeeping and laundry carts with supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and follow directions.
  • Able to stand for long periods, walk long distances within the building, bend, stoop, reach, kneel, carry, and climb.
  • Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • General computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office.
  • General PMS familiarity.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Pay

$15.10 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
