About the Role
The Laundry Attendant ensures a consistent supply of fresh, high-quality linens, towels, and other materials for golf operations, pool facilities, locker rooms, dining outlets, and special events. This behind-the-scenes role is vital to maintaining the Club’s standards of excellence, cleanliness, and Member satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and inspect soiled linens, towels, and other items.
- Load and operate commercial washers and dryers safely and efficiently.
- Complete full wash and dry cycles according to fabric and chemical guidelines.
- Assure quality cleaning and proper pressing of linens and towels.
- Separate and inspect items for stains, damage, repairs, or excessive wear; remove worn items from circulation and report concerns.
- Fold linens and towels by type and store them in designated areas.
- Check daily worksheets to identify items requiring laundering.
- Maintain appropriate levels of pool towels, locker room towels, golf towels, table linens, napkins, and event linens.
- Transport clean linens to proper storage and distribution locations throughout the Club.
- Take periodic inventory of linens and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Restock laundry chemicals and operational supplies as needed.
- Clean and maintain laundry and linen rooms to ensure a safe and sanitary workspace.
- Follow proper chemical handling procedures and safety standards.
- Operate all laundry equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
- Support overall club cleanliness standards when needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED (preferred).
- Ability to communicate effectively and read/understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience (preferred).
- Ability to operate commercial washers, dryers, and pressing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Working Conditions
- Exposure to loud noise levels, chemicals (e.g., bleach), dampness, and high temperatures.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
- Able to lift and move 40 pounds.
- Prolonged standing and repetitive movement.
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
Schedule
Typical shift times are between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m., three days per week.
