Laundry Aide

About the role

Ensure clean, comfortable, and well-maintained laundry services for residents by reliably operating in a fast-paced environment. This PRN position requires attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions while working efficiently with both household and industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Wash and dry resident and facility linens and clothing using household and industrial laundry equipment.
• Fold and stack linens neatly, ensuring proper storage and distribution.
• Deliver clean linens and laundry promptly to resident rooms and facility areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and equipment.
• Handle approved laundry detergents and chemicals according to safety guidelines.
• Deliver clothing directly to residents’ rooms and handle items with care.

Requirements

• Ability to follow verbal instructions and work efficiently in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure laundry is properly cleaned and organized.
• Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Positive and cooperative attitude when working with residents, families, and staff.
• Understanding of cleanliness and infection control in a healthcare setting.
