Laundry Aide

About the role

Provide a full range of laundry services to maintain the grounds, furnishings, equipment, and facility as a member of the Housekeeping team.

Responsibilities

• Follow established policies and procedures for laundry tasks.
• Use proper protocols for picking up soiled linens, including isolation linens, and transporting them to the laundry department.
• Use proper protective clothing and equipment while performing laundry duties.
• Maintain all cleaning schedules for each assigned area and follow the laundry department schedules.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents' rights, privacy, and property are protected at all times.
• Report and document resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints, or allegations according to the facility’s policy and procedure using the designated occurrence reporting system.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to do constant walking, bending, lifting, and standing for long periods during a scheduled shift.
