Laundry Aide

About the role

Parker Health and Rehabilitation is looking for a Laundry Aide to join the team. Each employee contributes their unique skills and abilities with the key goal of enabling residents to reach and maintain their highest functional abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide the full range of laundry services to the facility, staff and residents and maintain a successful laundry program that meets facility quality assurance standards
• Follow established policies/procedures of laundry tasks
• Use proper protocols for picking up soiled linens, including isolation linens, and transporting them to the laundry department
• Use proper protective clothing/equipment while performing laundry duties
• Maintain all cleaning schedules for each assigned area and follow the laundry department schedules
• Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights, privacy and property are protected at all times
• Report and document resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints or allegations according to the facility's policy and procedure using the designated occurrence reporting system

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc in excess of 50 lbs
• Must be able to do constant walking, bending, lifting and standing for long periods during a scheduled shift
