Laundry Aide

Northbrook Health and Rehab is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our Environmental Services team. We take pride in providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff—and our Laundry Aides play a vital role in that mission.

Schedule

Full-Time | 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM), includes rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing
• Operate commercial washers and dryers safely and efficiently
• Monitor and maintain laundry supplies
• Label and track resident personal items as needed
• Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines
• Work collaboratively with the Housekeeping & Laundry team

Qualifications

• Prior laundry or environmental services experience preferred (but not required—we will train the right person!)
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Compassion and respect for residents in a long-term care setting
