Marklund in Elgin is seeking a Full-Time Laundry Aide to join our team at the Wasmond Center. This role is vital in making everyday life possible for individuals with profound disabilities.

About Marklund

Marklund is a nonprofit organization providing residential, educational, and therapy services to infants, children, teens, and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With locations in Geneva and Elgin, we serve nearly 178 residents. Our programs include:

• Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs or autism spectrum diagnoses.
• Community Day Services, a therapeutic day program for adults residing at Marklund or coming from the community.

Our mission is to provide a happy, safe, and purpose-filled life for every individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and meet its functional and environmental requirements.

Pay

$15.25 per hour.

Schedule

• Full-time, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, 5 days a week.
• Rotating weekends with 8-hour shifts.
