Laundry Aide

About the role

The Laundry Aide will perform the day-to-day laundry activities in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the facility, and as may be instructed by the Director of Housekeeping Services.

Responsibilities

• Distribution of clean linen
• Maintenance of a clean work area
• Collect soiled linens from throughout the facility, sort them, wash & dry them, fold clean linens, iron linens as necessary
• May also wash, dry, and mend patient’s/ resident’s personal clothing as directed by their supervisor

Requirements

• High School Education or equivalent G.E.D
• General laundry/ housekeeping experience preferred, but not required, as on the job training will be provided
• Must speak and understand English
• Must have reliable transportation
• Experience in a healthcare facility preferred
