Laundry Aide

Neighbors Health Center in Byron, IL seeks a Dayshift Part-Time Laundry Aide. Schedule: every other weekend, every other Monday, and every Wednesday from 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, fold, iron, distribute or deliver linen or residents' clothing
• Sort laundry as appropriate
• Transfer laundered items, in sanitized container, to dryers
• Fold and stack dried items in proper order
• Iron items as necessary
• Clean and disinfect floors, appliances, folding tables, delivery carts and other laundry areas
• Ensure proper storage of supplies

Requirements

• Some experience with commercial laundry preferred
• Experience in a long-term care or healthcare laundry department a plus
• Must be able to speak, read and understand English
• Personable and professional with staff and residents
• Must be able to pass a background check
