Laundry Aide

Under direct supervision, ensures facility linens and residents’ personal clothing are properly collected, sorted, laundered, distributed, and/or stored according to facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Handles all laundry in compliance with sanitary guidelines.
• Sorts all soiled laundry into appropriate categories.
• Lifts and carries loads of laundry to and from cleaning equipment.
• Washes, dries, folds, and hangs all laundry neatly and properly.
• Identifies personal laundry with resident’s names and marks personal clothing items if needed.
• Uses appropriate PPE when handling contaminated clothing.
• Performs other related duties as required or requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in a related position preferred.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

This job operates in a professional environment with minimal exposure to dust, chemicals, or noise. Routinely uses standard laundry and cleaning equipment.
