Laundry Aide

Responsibilities

• Provide the full range of laundry services to the facility, staff, and residents while maintaining quality assurance standards.
• Follow established policies and procedures for laundry tasks, including proper protocols for handling soiled linens (including isolation linens) and transporting them to the laundry department.
• Use proper protective clothing and equipment while performing laundry duties.
• Maintain all cleaning schedules for assigned areas and adhere to the laundry department’s schedules.
• Uphold the confidentiality of all residents and their care to protect their rights, privacy, and property.
• Report and document resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints, or allegations according to facility policy using the designated occurrence reporting system.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies in excess of 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform constant walking, bending, lifting, and standing for long periods during a scheduled shift.
