Lathe Machinist

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lathe Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating lathe machines to produce precision components. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathe machines to produce precision components
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to develop machining strategies
• Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for efficient and accurate machining
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Collaborate with CNC programmers and engineers to troubleshoot and improve processes
• Maintain documentation for setups and operations
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience in lathe machining and setup
• Proficiency with manual and CNC lathe machines
• Preferred: Experience with precision components and tight tolerances
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards and lean manufacturing principles
