About the role
Responsible for operating lathes to manufacture precision parts. Work alongside engineers and other machinists to ensure quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of lathes to produce complex metal parts
- Follow detailed blueprints and specifications to ensure accuracy
- Participate in team meetings to discuss production issues and improvements
- Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in machining or related field
- Proficiency with basic metalworking tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel to different sites within the region as needed
Skills
- Proficient in using lathes and other metalworking machinery
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
