Lathe Machinist

About the role

We are hiring experienced CNC Machinists to join a high-precision manufacturing operation producing complex components for the aerospace and defense industries.

Location: Grandville, MI 49418

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Swiss-style CNC lathes
• Machine complex, tight-tolerance aerospace components
• Perform tooling changes, offsets, and machine adjustments
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain quality standards

Requirements

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience
• Hands-on Swiss CNC lathe experience
• Experience with Citizen, Star, Tsugami, Tornos, or similar Swiss-style machines
• CNC setup, tooling, offsets, and troubleshooting experience
• Strong blueprint and GD&T knowledge
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
• Ability to hold tight tolerances in a precision manufacturing environment
• Aerospace, defense, medical, or other high-precision machining experience preferred
