Minimum Requirements
- Certified police officer in the State of Illinois
- High school diploma or GED
- U.S. Citizen
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be 21 years of age at time of appointment
- Successfully pass: Background investigation, Interview, Polygraph, Psychological & Medical exams, Drug screening, Review of past/current performance evaluations
- No P.O.W.E.R. card or written exam required for eligible lateral applicants.
Department Highlights
