Lateral Police Officer

About the role

The Florence Police Department is a small department with 31 sworn officers and 10 civilian employees. It serves a rural community between Phoenix and Tucson, offering a slower pace and a close-knit environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide law enforcement services to the community
• Engage in community policing initiatives
• Respond to emergency calls and non-emergency incidents
• Participate in patrols and investigations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Arizona Peace Officer Certification (AZPOST)
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Valid Arizona driver’s license

Qualifications

• At least two years of progressively responsible full-time law enforcement experience
• Completion of a recognized police academy
• Knowledge of traffic control signals and practices
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Pay

The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $60,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
