Job Summary

Kutak Rock LLP seeks an experienced lateral attorney to join the firm’s Tax Credit Finance practice. This role provides the ability to build knowledge and skills with a variety of transactional matters, including tax, energy, debt, and equity financing and real estate matters, while working closely with experienced partners. Ideal candidates are interested in joining a growing transactional practice covering deals across the country involving partnerships and corporations, tax and tax credits, real estate, and secured lending and equity finance.

Position Information

Status: Exempt Salary Range: $180,000-$400,000+ base salary, per year plus discretionary bonus. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including experience, office location, originations, and portable book of business. Work Arrangement: Hybrid, in either Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH; Columbus, OH; Denver, CO; Fayetteville, AR; Irvine, CA; Kansas City, MO; Little Rock, AR; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis, MN; Omaha, NE; Philadelphia, PA; Richmond, VA; Rogers, AR; Scottsdale, AZ; Spokane, WA; Springfield, MO; Washington, D.C.; or Wichita, KS offices.

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities: - Ability to address sophisticated legal issues - Exceptional writing, research and analytical skills - Proficiency in drafting and negotiating associated financing agreements and reviewing associated diligence - Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both orally and in writing - Capable of creative problem-solving - Ability to apply critical thinking and possess a high attention to detail - Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with partners, associates, and support staff - Self-motivated the ability to work with a sense of urgency effectively while meeting strict deadlines - Commitment to achieving the goals of Firm clients Education and Experience: - Must be currently admitted to practice with an active bar license in good standing of the locality of the office location in which the candidate sits - Minimum of 6 years’ experience in one of the following areas of practice: Tax and tax credits, partnerships, corporations, real estate, and secured lending and equity finance - Candidates with a portable book of business given preference, but not required
