Large Format Sign and Vinyl Specialist

About the role

AlphaGraphics MIDDLETON is a growing, family-owned business specializing in marketing and communication products, including graphic design, printing, and signs. Under the direction of the Sign Manager, the Large Format Specialist is responsible for daily project production and completion.

Responsibilities

• Operate sign equipment
• Process and produce vinyl material
• Prepare substrates and vehicles for the application of graphics
• Install plot vinyl, digital print vinyl, and wraps on multiple surfaces
• Process signs and different substrates
• Follow layouts and directions as instructed
• Complete projects from start to finish
• Digital Print Production related to sign production
• Large Format & Sign Finishing with Installation when necessary
• Understanding of Large Format Design and execution, including setting up files for cut vinyl, analyzing files for large signage, and understanding differences in substrates including vehicle wraps and custom vinyl installations
• Other essential functions needed to provide the highest quality customer service and product output

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating wide format printers and associated equipment for commercial sign companies or printers
• Adobe Illustrator
• Rip software
• Proven understanding or experience using equipment including large format digital printers, UV flatbed printers, roll-to-roll printers, vinyl printers, laminators, and flatbed routers
• Positive, professional attitude
• Strong work ethic
• Problem-solving skills
• Cooperative interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work quickly and neatly while multi-tasking
• Basic math skills and ability to use a computer
• Effective communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to follow instructions and prioritize workload
• Ability to lift 25 lbs safely and work over a waist-high table
