About the role

The Large Capital Project Manager/Program Manager role involves leading cross-functional project teams to deliver capital investments greater than $10M USD, collaborating with global business partners, and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead several cross-functional project teams to deliver capital investments greater than $10M USD from initial scoping through project completion
  • Define project requirements and identify the most cost-effective solutions with an owner’s mindset
  • Develop project execution plans and own the estimating, scheduling, and change management processes
  • Maintain effective communication and alignment with the project team and stakeholders throughout the stage gate process
  • Affirm compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety standards to deliver robust, safe solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline (verified prior to start)
  • Combined experience in capital project management and capital project engineering roles in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Experience developing designs, equipment specifications, and construction packages in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Experience with webline, converting, automation, chemical processing, and/or discrete part handling equipment
  • Previous work experience with projects > 10M and proactively identifying potential risk, implementing mitigation strategies, and communicating about these risks across stakeholder teams
  • Experience with verbal and written communication and influencing leaders at the VP, SVP, and CXO level

Qualifications

  • PMP Certification
  • Track record of successful project leadership in a stage gate capital deployment model

Skills

  • Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical engineering degree

Pay & Benefits

The expected compensation range for this position is $164,612 - $201,193, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. Specific compensation offered may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. Schedule

This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the nearest 3M location. Travel may include up to 30% domestic/international.
