Large Assembly Production Worker (2nd Shift)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct all job duties with Safety as a priority and in compliance with Safety Rules.
  • Align with and maintain areas to 5S standards.
  • Segregate non-conforming materials according to work instructions.
  • Maintain equipment with daily cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Produce quality parts/assemblies and eliminate the cost of non-conformance.
  • Perform all required testing, paperwork, quality records, and documents.
  • Align with all safety and work instructions.
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping rules, standards, and clean/restock as needed.
  • Reduce lead times and optimize production cycle to conform to "make-to-order".
  • Maintain competitive cost associated assembly including labor, material, tooling, and inventory.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time; strength in arms and legs.
  • Mechanical attitude (demonstrated through interest or experience in areas such as automotive, construction, computers, etc.).
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical specifications and instructions.
  • Use of precision measurement tools and gauges.
  • Shop math and ability to complete calculations using handbook formulas.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications that set you apart:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 – 3 years proven experience working with CNC machinery, such as mills, lathes, or grinders.
