We are looking for a Large Animal Support Animal Technician to work alongside our world leading faculty clinicians and technicians, helping them teach the next generation of veterinarians while also serving the animals and pet owners of our community.
Responsibilities
- Sanitation & Infectious Disease Control (80%)
- Animal Handling & Transportation (10%)
- Feeding (5%)
- Animal Health Surveillance (5%)
Requirements
- Valid California driver's license
- No minimum education required
- Experience using cleaning tools & other miscellaneous tools
- Experience maintaining cleanliness of stalls, equipment & facility
- Experience working with and restraining equines & other large domestic animals
- Experience with farm animal husbandry and behavior
- Oral & written communication & interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Experience loading and hauling horses and cattle in trailers
- Knowledge of computer use
- Knowledge of zoonotic diseases in farm animals
