About the Opportunity

The Language & Literacy Content Specialist will contribute to the development of research-based educational materials and professional development programs focused on language and literacy. This role supports educators by creating high-quality content that enhances literacy instruction and promotes equitable outcomes for diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit content for professional development programs and resources in language and literacy.
• Develop engaging, culturally responsive content aligned with adult learning principles.
• Manage content development from drafting to final delivery, adhering to project timelines.
• Research evidence-based practices and literacy standards to keep content current.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and product teams to ensure content alignment with instructional goals.
• Proofread content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency with organizational standards.
• Incorporate feedback to continuously improve content quality.
• Support the organization’s mission to provide equitable and accessible literacy education.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Literacy, Linguistics, or related field; master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ professional content development experience for educator audiences beyond a single classroom or district.
• Experience in product development environments preferred.
• At least 3 years of successful teaching or coaching experience in English Language Arts.
• Expertise in Science of Reading, structured literacy, and language acquisition.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Effective organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to collaborate across teams.
• Proficiency with G-Suite, Zoom, and educational technology tools; familiarity with Asana, Jira, or LMS/CMS is a plus.
• Commitment to literacy education and equitable student outcomes.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

Annuar salary range: $95,000 to $113,000. Competitive salaries based on experience and education. Benefits include take-as-you-need vacation, group medical, dental, and vision plans, disability and life insurance, and an employer-sponsored 401(k) with a 5% employer contribution and no vesting period or salary cap.
