About the role

As a Lane Closure Specialist, you will perform lane closures on state highways and other roadways, redirecting traffic for workers or survey crews, and working independently or as part of a traffic control crew.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain safe work zones using the proper equipment
  • Ensure the safety of assigned traffic control projects by setting up and taking down lane closures
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the safety of all
  • Manage traffic flow effectively with stop/slow paddles
  • Deliver exceptional service and protection to our clients

Requirements

  • Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles
  • Frequent exposure to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites including high noise level in the work environment
  • Work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, not limited to heat, cold, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
  • Lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds
  • Stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
  • Good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination

Schedule

Hours of operation may vary due to staffing needs. Current hours: starting between 5-6pm and working 10-14 hour overnight shifts.

Pay

Competitive hourly pay starting at $18-18.75/hour, based on experience, with a guaranteed pay increase within the first year.
