Landscape Technician
Job Summary
This is a seasonal position with potential for permanent placement at the end of the season. This is a full-time opportunity paying $18.69 per hour, with a schedule of 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
About the Role
As a member of the Turfgrass Management team, the Landscape Technician works on a diverse range of activities involved in Turfgrass management and construction. The candidate in this role will be responsible for semi-skilled golf course construction, routine maintenance work, and perform related tasks as required to maintain perfect playing conditions.
Essential Functions
- Maintains all areas of the golf course by operating a walk-behind mower or a riding mower.
- Performs daily set-up of golf course.
- Install drainage and irrigation as instructed.
- Applies the correct amount of water to turf and landscaping planting as directed by supervisor.
- Safely and properly operate light motorized vehicles and company trucks.
- Prepares areas for seed and sod and applies seed or sod in the proper manner.

- Properly rakes bunkers either by hand or machine.
- Removes trash and debris from all areas of the property.
- Absists the supervisor in training all new associates on safety and proper equipment operation.
- Monitor moisture on greens, tee fairways, rough, trees, etc.
- Able to operate and apply fertilizer using a walk behind fertilizer spreader.
- Must be able to operate all equipment on the golf course and must help wherever necessary.
- Keeps work areas and equipment clean.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required
- Must be able to speak English.
- Basic Understanding of Turfgrass Management and the Rules of Golf.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or needs of members and guests.
- Familiar with fertilization techniques and proper spreader operation.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, holidays and weekends.
