Landscape Mechanic (Small Engine Repair)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on commercial lawn mowers and two-cycle equipment, including string trimmers, edgers, and backpack blowers
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues
• Maintain service vehicles, trailers, tools, equipment, and shop inventory in safe and working condition
• Support seasonal parts inventory planning, stocking, and organization as needed
• Accurately track time, materials, and parts used for repairs and maintenance
• Complete all required documentation and work orders in a timely and accurate manner
• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and company policies while performing work assignments
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs

• Advanced knowledge of mechanical equipment maintenance and repair
• Strong critical thinking and diagnostic skills with the ability to perform complex repairs independently
• High attention to detail and organizational discipline
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record per fleet insurance standards
• Ability to pass drug screening
• Ability to consistently lift, push, pull, and move up to 75 pounds
• Demonstrated ability to operate commercial lawn equipment and related tools
• Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in equipment and vehicle repair
