Landscape Laborer- TMG Kona

Responsibilities

• Cultivates a variety of jobsite landscape construction/improvement tasks.
• Dig trenches for pipes.
• Performs duties such as weedeating, tilling, grading, weeding, blowing, planting, hand watering and removal of landscape debris utilizing trained company techniques.
• Applies pesticides as required, only after receiving safety training.
• Loads and moves soil, rocks, debris, etc. into trucks or wheelbarrows.
• Loads, unloads and distributes bagged products, pipe, fittings, tools and other construction and landscape materials.
• Operates small tractor loaders, trenchers, rototillers, saws, augers, compressors, jackhammers, drills, sanders and other tools and equipment of the trade.

Requirements

• Experience in landscape or construction maintenance is highly desirable.
• Ability to lift and carry, push and pull, 20-50 pounds of landscape material and equipment for up to 6½ hours daily.
• Ability to walk/stand/squat/kneel up to 6½ hours daily.
• Makes frequent repetitive movements with the left and right hand, wrist, ankle and knee.
• Ability to twist/turn/bend the trunk of the body frequently.
• Valid Hawaii Driver's License preferred.

Working Conditions

• Outdoor physical labor in temperatures ranging from cold 20°+ to a heat of 100°+ and exposure to light rain.
• Exposure to dust, pollen, chemicals, noise and pollutants related to the landscape industry (fertilizer, pesticide, etc.).
• Machinery/equipment noise, traffic and hazards related to the landscape industry in a busy commercial environment.
