Landscape Laborer

Essential Functions

• Independently carry out duties such as cutting grounds using hand, power, or riding mowers.
• Apply fertilizer to enhance growth on property grounds.
• Ensure grounds are free of weeds and dead plants.
• Prepare sites for snow removal and salting seasons.
• Assist with loading and unloading work trucks/trailers.
• Move and install soil, mulch, and plant materials.
• Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including skid steers, back hoes, dump trailers, chainsaws, and others.
• Perform landscaping duties such as planting trees and shrubs, installing irrigation systems, and grading sites.
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Install required materials for landscaping and irrigation.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it conforms with Nouria standards.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma required.
• 1-year minimum experience with landscaping.
• Knowledge of trees, landscaping plants, annuals, perennials, and horticultural practices.

Job Related Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Irrigation system knowledge.
• Hardscape installation experience required.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as skid loaders and snow removal equipment.
• Experience with landscaping power tools, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, head trimmers, and chainsaws.
• Experience in tree removal and pruning.
• Snow removal experience.
• Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time.
• Ability to work after hours or weekends when deemed necessary.
