Hiring range: $16.20 - $21.08/hourly. Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
Overview
Responsible for ensuring grounds are maintained to standard as assigned at Riverside Health System properties. Job assignments include, but are not limited to:
- Use of push mowing equipment, power edging, blowers, and string trimming equipment
- Mulching, trash removal, weeding, leaf removal
- Assist with hedge trimming, planting, and other landscape jobs
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment such as greasing, oil levels, tire inflation, and cleaning/washing of equipment
- Performs snow removal/storm clean-up including shoveling and cleaning of entranceways, walkways, and parking lots of snow, ice, and/or debris
Responsibilities
- Assists co-workers with the care of their areas of responsibility; addresses customer’s needs regardless of assignment
- Assists others to complete tasks when necessary
- Executes work plans to achieve the highest quality; revises the plan as appropriate to ensure the highest quality
- Conscientiously observes policies and procedures to ensure the safety of self, guests, and co-workers
- Follows guidelines for proper body mechanics, hazardous material handling, and universal precautions to avoid personal accidents and injuries
- Maintains a safe work area and wears all personal protective equipment (e.g., ear plugs, glasses, safety vests, boots, gloves, and rain gear)
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize and accomplish assignments with accuracy and timeliness
- Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a work environment that reflects performance excellence
- Engages in a team environment, following the RESPECT policies/guidelines
- Demonstrates behaviors that reflect “Commitment to my Co-Workers” guidelines
- Consistently treats all individuals with courtesy, respect, integrity, and dignity
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
- Less than 1 year of landscape experience in a residential or commercial setting (Preferred)
