Description
Snipebridge, a strategic talent solutions company specializing in Architecture & Planning, is seeking a Landscape Architect. Our client is a well-established, multidisciplinary land use planning and landscape architecture firm with over 50 years of experience. They operate across the full spectrum of landscape architecture and land use planning, from master-planned residential communities and commercial centers to open space design and transit-oriented development. Known for their collaborative, cross-disciplinary approach, they work closely with architects, civil engineers, and municipal agencies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead landscape architecture projects from concept through construction documents, coordinating closely with Land Use Planners, Architects, Civil Engineers, and municipal staff
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client communications across a diverse range of project types
- Supervise and mentor drafters and junior staff working under your direction
- Sign and stamp plans, conduct site visits and field observations as required
- Collaborate directly with city and county planning agencies
- Participate in business development, identifying opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and contributing to the firm's growth
- Work within a hybrid environment, utilizing current technologies including AI-powered design and project management tools
- Contribute to firm culture: professional, collegial, and built around sustainable work habits
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Professional degree in Landscape Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) or Planning
- 5+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture or planning
- Active California Landscape Architect license preferred
- Experience across a variety of project types: residential, commercial, mixed-use, open space, and/or institutional
- Strong technical skills: grading, planting, irrigation, construction details, and construction document production
- Prominent interpersonal and communication skills. Collaborative with colleagues and professional with clients and agencies
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and capable of managing your own workload and driving projects forward
- Comfortable with technology: proficient in current design software; open to using AI tools and remote collaboration platforms
PREFERRED
- Familiarity with Southern California municipalities, particularly in San Diego, Riverside, Orange, and Ventura Counties
- Experience navigating California's entitlement and permitting processes
- Interest in and aptitude for business development and client relationship management
