Land Surveyor
Responsibilities
Review the accuracy of all survey data collected by technicians to include but not be limited to site plans, charts, plats, maps, records and documents related to surveys.
Sign and seal survey documents and assist in developing procedures, systems and methods for project delivery.
The candidate will be responsible for leading the survey task on multiple projects, mentoring survey staff, preparing scopes of work and fees, and providing quality assurance / quality control.
The candidate must be registered in the State of South Carolina, have a strong knowledge in boundary analysis and resolution, topographic, and construction surveys.
Strong organizational, written, and verbal skills are required. Ability to lead a successful project (on time, under budget, and accurate) team from kickoff to delivery while maintaining client satisfaction is critical to this position.
Technical capabilities should include proficiency with some combination of: Microstation, OpenRoads, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center and/or Carlson Survey and Microsoft Office products are preferred.
The successful candidate will supervise and lead construction verification surveys on state highway and bridge construction projects.
A valid Driver License is required.
Required Qualifications
NHLS, NCLS, SCLS, ALTA, CLP, or equivalent registration is required.
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Surveying is required.
Experience with Level B SUE and Utility Test Holes is a plus.
Transportation Alternative Delivery Experience is a plus.
Remote Pilot Certification is a plus.
Experience with LiDAR technology or traditional photogrammetry is a plus.
Previous experience developing survey deliverables compliant with SCDOT’s Pre-Construction Survey Manual is a plus.
NCDOT or GDOT experience is a plus.
Pay
Compensation Range $55,709.00 - $63,305.00
