Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting boundary, topographic, and construction surveys
- Operate total stations, GPS systems, and data collectors; set up and manage GPS for survey control; and collect accurate field measurements while ensuring proper equipment use
- Prepare maps, plots, and legal descriptions
- Perform calculations and data adjustments for accuracy and consistency
- Complete construction layout and staking for engineering projects
- Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and technicians to meet project deadlines
- Maintain and organize survey equipment and vehicles
Qualifications & Skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or technical training in surveying is preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in land surveying or a related field is preferred
- Proficiency with survey equipment (Trimble GPS, total stations, data collectors) is preferred
- Knowledge of surveying principles and practices is preferred
- Experience with Civil 3D, CAD, and Pix4D software is a plus
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- A valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
