Goals & Responsibilities

  • Aid in conducting boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
  • Operate total stations, GPS systems, and data collectors; set up and manage GPS for survey control; and collect accurate field measurements while ensuring proper equipment use.
  • Prepare maps, plots, and legal descriptions.
  • Perform calculations and data adjustments for accuracy and consistency.
  • Complete construction layout and staking for engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and technicians to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain and organize survey equipment and vehicles.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or technical training in surveying preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in land surveying or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with survey equipment (Trimble GPS, total stations, data collectors) preferred.
  • Knowledge of surveying principles and practices preferred.
  • Experience with Civil 3D, CAD, and Pix4D software is a plus.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
