About the role
TD2, a highly respected Consulting Engineering and Land Surveying firm, is seeking a Land Survey Crew Chief for their Omaha, NE office.
Responsibilities
- Work in the construction staking, topographic, and legal surveying department
- Lead survey crews in field operations
- Operate GPS equipment and Leica surveying instruments
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with surveying standards and regulations
- Prepare and maintain survey reports and documentation
- Collaborate with clients, architects, developers, and builders on project requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience as a survey crew chief preferred
- GPS operation experience and Leica equipment experience required
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification preferred
- Knowledge of surveying software and tools
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and analysis
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
