About the role

The Technical Leader (TL) is accountable for advancing technical excellence, strengthening quality, and building technical capability across the Land Development discipline within the Infrastructure Business Unit (BOU).

Responsibilities

  • Advance technical excellence across the discipline by defining, standardizing, and reinforcing technical practices.
  • Promote consistent application of QA/QC processes, design standards, and technical review practices across projects.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance on complex or high-risk projects.
  • Lead resolution of technical issues, ensuring appropriate risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure consistency in technical approaches across regions and Business Centers (BCs).
  • Embed technical expertise into project delivery by collaborating with delivery leadership.
  • Build and lead a connected, high-performing technical community across the discipline.
  • Drive adoption of digital tools, advanced engineering methods, and innovative delivery approaches.
  • Support implementation of AI-enabled workflows that improve efficiency, consistency, and insight generation while maintaining appropriate human oversight, professional judgment, and accountability in decision-making.
  • Promote practical, value-driven innovation embedded in project delivery.
  • Support lessons learned, knowledge capture, and continuous improvement across projects.
  • Develop and sustain technical capability across the discipline.
  • Support strategic hiring to address capability and capacity gaps.
  • Contribute to workforce planning in collaboration with regional and BC leadership.
  • Mentor and coach technical practitioners.
  • Identify and develop high-potential technical talent.
  • Engage with academic and industry networks to support the talent pipeline.

Requirements

Typically 15+ years of relevant experience, recognized technical expertise within an infrastructure discipline (Land Development), proven experience in complex project delivery and technical leadership, and demonstrated ability to lead across regions and influence without direct authority.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline.

Skills

Strong technical skills, ability to lead and mentor, proficiency in digital tools and methodologies, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

$166,300.00 - $257,800.00 Annually
