Land Development Specialist

What You’ll Do

  • Perform various administrative tasks in support of the Land Development Department, including answering telephones or email inquiries, maintaining files and records, data entry, and department trackers.
  • Update and maintain accurate project development budgets at the direction of the Project Managers.
  • Monthly Invoice coding and processing of pay apps and check requests.
  • Manage files including plats, address maps, construction plans, contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and contract exhibits at the direction of the Project Managers.
  • Prepare and ensure timely execution of contracts.
  • Ensure that signing limit protocols are followed for all contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and invoices.
  • Support and enforce all company standards, including those mandated by internal audit.
  • Prepare expense reports.
  • Run monthly reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date Municipal Utility District (MUD) Reimbursable files in association with bond applications.
  • Be the primary liaison for the HOA Management Company as needed for maintenance issues, concerns, and customer questions.
  • Serve on the HOA Board of Directors as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in land development and project management (residential or commercial) is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the homebuilding or construction industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with an Accounts Payable (A/P) environment, such as processing invoices, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with a strength in Excel is preferred.
  • A strong attention to detail is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and business acumen are essential.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to respond to inquiries from vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members are required.
  • A detailed-oriented approach, the ability to work under pressure, and the capability to handle multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines are necessary.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as a dynamic team member are important.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The Land Development Specialist typically works Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
