What Your Day Will Look Like

As a Land Development Engineering Designer, you’ll follow projects through the engineering process by assisting with project development, assisting with design, coordinating with outside parties, facilitating the bidding process, and helping manage the construction through completion. The role requires providing support for projects during the feasibility, design, plan production, quality control, bidding, and construction phases for primarily large residential master-planned developments. Routine task work will include various design elements of streets, drainage, water and wastewater utilities.

What You'll Do

  • Provide support for the design of streets, drainage, water and wastewater utilities.
  • Aid in generating project deliverables, including cost estimates, plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Prepare exhibits, providing cost estimate, drafting design and detail sheets in AutoCAD.
  • Research and coordinate with material and equipment providers.
  • Conduct field visits on jobsites to observe and evaluate construction work.
  • Read and interpret civil construction drawings, and review plans and specifications to ensure work compliance.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification.
  • 2+ years of relevant Central Texas Land Development Experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc. software.
  • Must have a valid TX driver's license with a good driving record.
