Engineering Designer - Land Development

This is an exciting opportunity to join their Planning, Development and Natural Resources (PDNR) team as an Engineering Designer, Land Development at their Tampa office.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical and design services in support of civil engineering projects as part of a project team
- Prepares design computations and assessments
- Produces design/construction drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents
- Reports directly to their Project Manager
- Completes design tasks within budget and on schedule
- Communicates and coordinates with Project Manager and design team on design issues and calculations relating to a project
- Stays current with Local, State & Federal Design Standards and Regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil
- Proficient in CAD Civil 3D and capable of learning other design software programs as required
- Process-oriented individual with strong organization and technical skills
- Solid communicator, able to take and understand directives from PM and coordinate efforts with design team
- Strong writing and verbal skills; Able to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands put on them by PMs
- May or may not require a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record
What You’ll Need
- Past FE Exam and E.I./E.I.T. certification
- Experience with design of land development projects preferred
- NC residency preferred
