About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the Board of Land and Natural Resources' intent to meet the approved social and economic demands of both the public and private sectors of the State of Hawaii.
  • Acquire lands for public purposes.
  • Disposition of public lands for approved public and private purposes.
  • Inspect and enforce terms and conditions of land dispositions and provisions of public land laws.
  • Perform work in an advanced trainee capacity, assisting in the preparation of routine transactions, gathering and analyzing land transaction data, preparing reports of findings, including conclusions and recommendations, and dealing effectively with others.

Requirements

  • Legal Authorization To Work Requirement: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
  • Basic Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Specialized Experience: Six months of progressively responsible professional experience which demonstrated knowledge of Hawaii Land laws, real estate laws and terminology, the real property appraisal process, various types of land titles and legal instruments affecting land transactions; and the ability to gather and analyze land transaction data; prepare reports of findings, including conclusions and recommendations, and meet and deal effectively with others.

  • Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.

$4,725 per month (SR-18, Step D)
