About the Role
As a Land Acquisition Manager at Lennar, you will assist in acquiring land, lots, and development opportunities aligned with the company’s land acquisition strategies and market trends. This role involves identifying potential targets, facilitating due diligence, and collaborating with leadership to ensure successful acquisitions.
Responsibilities
- Identify potential land acquisition targets through tax maps and networking with brokers, landowners, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate the due diligence process and schedule activities for contracted projects through the Greenbook process with the VP of Land.
- Participate in weekly land acquisition meetings and update the Division President and VP of Land and Development on potential deals.
- Assist in the rezoning process and attend meetings with government officials, engineers, and homeowners.
- Maintain inventory reports, critical dates, contract summaries, and periodic market analyses.
- Manage Land Contract files, maps, and other documents in the Division office.
- Network with builders and developers to stay informed on market trends and develop key contacts.
- Assist management in negotiating terms and specifics of purchase and sale agreements, collaborating with the Division’s outside attorney and region attorney for contract approvals.
- Collaborate with the VP of Land and VP of Finance to update the 5-year plan monthly.
- Update the contract status report for the divisions weekly.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in business administration, engineering, accounting, finance, or a similar field preferred.
- Proficient in computer literacy, including word-processing, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling, and data management software.
- Knowledge of sales/negotiating principles and real estate.
- Effective and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to exercise initiative and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented problem-solver capable of handling complex situations.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record and valid auto insurance coverage.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements
- Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities, job sites, and offices during work hours.
- Ability to work more than eight hours per day in confined quarters, such as a construction trailer.
- Capability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and/or move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional operation of construction equipment may be required.
- Finger dexterity for operating a computer keyboard and calculator.
Pay
Base compensation for this position ranges from an annual salary of $69,040.62 to $130,343, subject to adjustment based on employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials, and operational considerations. This role may also be eligible for bonuses and commissions.
