Land Acquisition Manager

About the role

K. Hovnanian is celebrating over 65 years of quality and leadership in home building and community development. As a Land Acquisition Manager, you will play a critical role in providing an adequate supply of land, the first step in directly driving the company’s growth. You will have exposure to senior leaders as you present land deals you believe in, working with brokers, builders, bankers, landowners, engineers, planners, attorneys, municipal officials, and internal contacts.

Responsibilities

• Identify acquisition opportunities through a network of brokers, builders, bankers, landowners, engineers, planners, attorneys, municipal officials, and in‑house contacts.
• Prepare, interpret, and present financial analyses and statistical market analyses for potential land deals.
• Negotiate land acquisition terms and agreements.
• Present land deals to senior leadership and advocate for acquisitions that support company growth.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of acquisition activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years’ related experience in land acquisition.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to prepare, interpret, and present various financial and market analyses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
