Job Summary and Qualifications
The Mother Baby Lactation Consultant Registered Nurse (RN) provides quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for the care of coupled postpartum mother/baby combinations or other clinical care duties as assigned. They direct nursing care based on established clinical nursing practice and regulatory guidelines. The RN integrates knowledge of patient’s age-specific development and cultural values into the care plan. They contribute to quality nursing care through process improvement techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor.
What qualifications you will need
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
- Neonatal Resuscitation within 90 days of employment start date.
- (RN) Registered Nurse.
- Associate Degree.
- (IBCLC) International Board Certified Lactation Consultant within 1 year of employment start date.
