Lactation Consultant RN
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Nursing Director or Supervisor, the Mother Baby Lactation Consultant Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for the care of coupleting postpartum mother/baby combinations or other clinical care duties as assigned. The Mother Baby Lactation Consultant RN is responsible for directing all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice and federal, state, and local regulations. The RN incorporates knowledge of patient’s age specific development and cultural values into the plan of care. The RN contributes to quality nursing care through process improvement techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration that demonstrates positive outcomes in the delivery of patient care.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- (RN) Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree
- (IBCLC) International Board Certified Lactation Consultant must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- No Travel Required
