Role Overview This position involves coordinating patient and staff education to support, protect, and promote breastfeeding within a hospital setting. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of obstetric care and lactation support. Responsibilities Include Providing education to patients and staff on breastfeeding best practicesSupporting breastfeeding initiatives and ensuring adherence to standardsCollaborating with healthcare teams to promote maternal and neonatal health Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing schoolMinimum of three years of nursing experience, including at least one year in obstetrics with a focus on breastfeedingCurrent RN license in NevadaCertification as IBCLC or CLC, with BLS and NRP certificationsKnowledge of Nevada State Board of Nursing practices Skills Strong communication and educational skillsAbility to collaborate within healthcare teamsCommitment to promoting maternal and neonatal health
